TALES OF A DRUNKEN SOUL

Behind the under-brushes of this place
Is a mass of quivering flesh
That was once my soul
My heart has risen from it's stupor

And has woken for it's reverie
I hold nothing but pieces of my soul

Consumed by beer

Burnt by the nerve racking effects
Of wasted nights at the bar
My tale is of a broken man

 Who kept his family close
And drew his drinking closer to himself

A wave of tumultuous vomit overtakes me
And I purge out years of regret
In my tale of sorrow and anguish
I release a lifetime's collection of bottled up
emotions
That has been shown the way out
From my sober self
